First publication / Hello world

About a month ago i acquired a new motorcycle - Suzuki VS 750 Intruder from 1986.
This blog will be about it. Since i was not able to find too many websites dedicated to the "old intruders" i guess i will start putting information and pretty much everything i can find about this bike through the time.
I got the bike in the beginning of May 2014. Before this one i had a Yamaha XJ600S Diversion, but i made a swap with this intruder.
One of the first things that came in mind was the year of the bike - 1986. This particular bike was produced exactly in 1986 and after that Suzuki made lots of changes to the model, so i figured parts will be a bit harder to find, especially given the age of the bike.
So the first pictures i saw were the following:
Looking at the AD, the previous owner said that the chrome is not good ... well it was not .. but since i really wanted a chopped/cruiser i pretty much fell in love with it. It might have also something to do with my first motorcycle being a suzuki (GZ250 Marauder)
As an everyday commuter using my motorcycle as a main means of transport i think the shaft drive is one of the best features that come with this particular bike. Frankly i am tired of cleaning and lubricating ta nasty chain every 400 km.
At first impression this was exactly what i expected - an old and not really well maintained machine with lots of work that would follow after purchase.
But this did not stop the enthusiasm. So after a pretty short thinking and consideration time i decided i will go for it.
We made the deal and me and my friend loaded the new beast on the trailer to get it home.
Note that it comes with saddles, but they were off when the pics were made. Of course the saddles were not in great shape either.
The bike had also very rusted away front fender, but the owner had already got front and rear fenders from eBay that i got with the bike.
Then the guy came with a big-ass folder with a printed manual for the bike - that was a nice surprise - i didn't have to look for manual now - it is already here and it is printed.
I got a couple of keys ... most of them i didn't even know what are they for - but they came with it.
And so after a surprisingly easy loading on the trailer we took off without my old Divi and with my new Intruder. Good bye old Divi, you will be remembered with your good and bad points altogether.
